Lay Bare: long shadow

This closet deals with the memories of my late father, suggesting absence in its starkness. A single light illuminates several porcelain hangers as well as the ordered grid lining the closet wall. Below, a pair of ceramic shoe forms sits on a shelf: they are pale with delicate wing-tip decoration. The material, placement, and color choices reference bones and the ephemeral while reinforcing the notion of emptiness.
